As part of a CSIRT capacity-building programme funded by the EU-based TRANSITS Project of GÉANT, the Computer Center conducted its first training on Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRT). The training aims on introducing the concept and process of CSIRTs to organizations and how to effectively implement and run a CSIRT in order to take action, document and mitigate future computer security-related incidences.

The training was held on September 24, 2019 at the Computer Center Laboratory B with Jose Paolo Bernardo as the resource speaker. He was recently funded by GÉANT to participate at a CSIRT Capacity Building in Asia programme at the Asia-Pacific Advanced Network Conference at Malaysia last July 24 – 25, 2019 and at the Asia Pacific Network Information Centre Conference at Chiang Mai, Thailand last September 5 – 12, 2019.
